Glossary
Affinity The demon can start with up to three skills of its affinity's type.
Ailments A blanket term for mind, nerve, and curse skills.
Destroy A blanket term for skills that strike the target or targets dead instantly.
Drain The demon is healed by skills of this type.
Immune The demon cannot be affected by skills of this type.
Magic A blanket term for fire, ice, force, and lightning skills.
Reflect The demon reflects skills of this type back to the caster.
Resist Skills of this type are less effective against the demon.
Start The demon automatically starts with this skill.
Tier The demon's starting tier.
Weak Skills of this type are more effective against the demon.

Revered beasts. Because of their nature, Holy Beasts are more skilled with magic than their Beast brethren, but are also less physically-capable.

A traditional guardian spirit that resembles a cross between a lion and a dog that originated from Okinawa, Japan. Statues of Shiisaa are often found in pairs outside of homes, the right statue with its mouth open to let in good spirits, and the left statue with its mouth closed to keep out evil ones.

A deified wolf from Japanese mythology. It is said to ward off calamity against homes, such as theft or fire.

A one-horned horse that first appeared in Greek natural history. The unicorn is considered to be an animal that is pure of heart but has a wild and untamed nature, as such it will avoid any human with the exception of virgin females, which were often used as a means to trap them.

One of the five Chinese unicorns. It was said to look very similar to a sheep, but had a single large horn protruding from its forehead. It was considered a violent but holy beast that was said to be able to eat fire and had the mystical ability to see through lies.

A beast god from ancient Egyptian mythology worshipped mainly in Memphis, that was depicted as a sacred bull. It is believed he was originally worshiped as a fertility god and was the manifestation of the pharaoh Ptah after he ascended. Apis was sometimes depicted as having the sun-disk of the goddess Hathor between his horns and was one of the few deities associated with her.

One of the four Chinese celestial beasts. He is also known as Bai-Hu and the White Tiger of the West. He represents the direction west, the element of metal, and the season of autumn.

One of the five Chinese Unicorns. It is shown as a one-horned horse wreathed with fire. Its appearance was associated with luck and prosperity.

A guardian of the gate to paradise. This beast with a human head and a scorpion body appears in Mesopotamian lore and is the inspiration for the legends of centaurs.

Start: Glacial Blast
The offspring of Loki and the stallion of a Giant. Sleipnir has eight legs and can travel over the heavens, the sea and the land. He is commonly seen as the mount of Odin.

A sacred bull who is both the mount of Shiva and the gatekeeper to his temple. Even today it is customary to have a statue of Nandi facing the main shrine of most temples dedicated to Shiva and out of respect to him, Hindus do not eat the meat from cows. One story tells of the appearance of the deadly poison, Halahala. Other than Shiva, Nandi is the only being able to swallow it with no ill effects.

Indra's elephant mount. He has four or six tusks and was born from the Sea of Milk. Due to a curse, Airavata lost its early ability to fly. When Indra chose an elephant as his mount, rather than a more warlike creature, it symbolized the beginning of luxury for the war god.

A mystical creature in Balinese lore. It represents good and is Rangda's eternal rival. Even if defeated, it will be reborn. The result is a never-ending struggle.
