Glossary
Affinity The demon can start with up to three skills of its affinity's type.
Ailments A blanket term for mind, nerve, and curse skills.
Destroy A blanket term for skills that strike the target or targets dead instantly.
Drain The demon is healed by skills of this type.
Immune The demon cannot be affected by skills of this type.
Magic A blanket term for fire, ice, force, and lightning skills.
Reflect The demon reflects skills of this type back to the caster.
Resist Skills of this type are less effective against the demon.
Start The demon automatically starts with this skill.
Tier The demon's starting tier.
Weak Skills of this type are more effective against the demon.

Deities with dominion over the sky and celestial bodies. The Amatsu are a varied group, each with their own specialties and temperaments.

One of the sons of Okuninushi. When the amatsukami decided to increase their influence on the earth, they sent Take-Mikazuchi to conquer Take-Minakata. They had the first sumo match, with Take-Mikazuchi emerging the victor.

A Shinto goddess of wisdom and intelligence. Whenever the amatsukami are deliberating on a situation, she is always called upon to give good counsel. Students in Japan tend to pray to her during exam weeks.

Start: Sex Appeal
The goddess of dawn and revelry in the Shinto religion of Japan. She was most famous for dancing naked to lure Amaterasu out of Ame-no-Iwato in order to restore light to the world.

Japanese god of fire, son of Izanami and Izanagi. His mother was so badly burned when she gave birth to him that she died. Out of rage, Izanagi cut his son into eight pieces. From the body, eight earthly gods emerged, and from the blood came forth eight heavenly gods.

The grandson of Amaterasu, who was sent to Japan to pacify it. He is the great-grandfather of the first Emperor of Japan, Emperor Jimmu.

Start: Beckon Call
The Shinto moon god. He was born from Izanagi's right eye as he bathed, and so he is the brother of Amaterasu and Susa-no-O. After an altercation with the goddess of food, Amaterasu swore never to look at him again.

Amaterasu is the Japanese sun goddess who rules over heaven. Her name means "she who illuminates the heavens". She was born from Izanagi's left eye.

Affinity: Physical, Force, Lightning
Start: Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi
The storm god of Japanese mythology, born along with Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi. He was cast out for improper behavior, but redeemed himself with heroic deeds like slaying Yamata-no-Orochi.

One of the ancient gods who existed before Japan was formed. He created the Ouyashima from chaos, then gave birth to countless children and laid the foundation of soil and nature.
